Hello . . . we are SOCK
Sock were formed in a small town in 1990, always unpredictable and flamboyant, they reigned supreme for two years before dispersing to the four corners of the world to pursue their individual dreams. After 22 years the band reformed for a one off gig that coincided with singer Guy adopting the on-stage persona of glam rock-god Vince Venus and gaining international fame as the (unofficial) winner of Britain’s Got Talent in 2015. The rest of the band followed suit and have emerged as a group of misfit superheroes on a mission to save rock n’ roll.
They split in the 1992, however they later reformed for a one-off gig in 2014 after the tragic loss of their original drummer, Steven Henfrey. They did a gig in their hometown to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and such was the response from old fans and new, they decided to carry on. Gary Leatherland joined the band as their permanent drummer soon afterwards and was ordered to wear ridiculous clothes.
Our new EP ‘Teh’ will be out later this year and we’ll be throwing the mother of all parties to celebrate it’s release. Here’s a couple of tracks to you keep you going until then.

SOCK Live at the Bruton Packhorse Fair 2019 We came. We saw. We conquered (and got a little sunburnt). Packhorse Fair. What a day. We spend a lot of time in beautiful Bruton in Somerset, as two members of our band are lucky enough to live there and one of them...
As you may or may not know, our band has been going on and off (mainly off), for nearly 30 years now and a few years ago, during an ‘off’ period, as we started to talk about a reunion, we very suddenly lost our friend and drummer, Steve Henfrey. At the funeral we got...
